Re: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VILLAGE MEDIA CUSTOMERS
Dear Sycamore Canyon Residents,
We’re excited to announce that Time Warner Cable will begin providing cable TV and high-speed internet services to the residents of Sycamore Canyon beginning in December 2007! Time Warner will offer a new state-of-the-art system with over 200 television channels, products including High Definition TV (HDTV) and DVR service, as well as a well-trained customer service team.
In addition, Village Media will no longer provide cable TV or internet service to Sycamore Canyon concurrent with the December conversion to Time Warner (approximately December 15th, 2007).
What does this change mean to existing Village Media customers?
All Sycamore Canyon residents will be receiving information in the next few days from Time Warner detailing the many cable TV and internet products and packages offered. The information will include channel line-ups and pricing options, as well as a special promotional package for Sycamore Canyon’s new Time Warner customers. To celebrate the launch of Time Warner’s service, representatives will also be on site December 8th & 9th to answer questions and will also have refreshments available. Please contact the leasing office for additional information.
Also, you should receive your final billing from Village Media shortly, for the period ending December 15th, 2007. You should receive no additional billing from Village Media for services after December 15th. You’ll receive additional information soon regarding the procedures for returning any leased cable/internet equipment currently in your apartment.
What about Village Media customers currently using Direct TV?
Sycamore Canyon residents currently receiving DirectTV service through Village Media will need to change their existing service. The choices available include Time Warner Cable, or a direct account with DirectTV (or Dish Network if available) which typically requires a small dish installed on your patio. DirectTV customers contracted through Village Media who choose to move their service to Time Warner will be reimbursed for any DirectTV early termination fees/charges provided for in your contract. Reimbursements will be provided through the Sycamore Canyon leasing office upon submitting proof of charges.
How does this change affect residents not using Village Media services?
Residents not contracted with Village Media should see no change to their TV and internet services. However, the addition of Time Warner will provide an additional option for state-of-the-art services from a top cable TV and internet provider.
